Wow! What a lovely Saturday in Moenchengladbach! We can’t let a 5-1 scoreline go unnoticed, so Patrick and Eric got together for a bite-sized review of the match. We don’t go much into the analysis (do we ever?) but we gloat, laugh, and are genuinely surprised by the result. Hopefully this is a step in a positive direction and the first of at least three consecutive victories :-).
Back with a South American flair (or flare), the Neverkusen Crew of Patrick and Eric catch up with Bayer Leverkusen and talk transfers and Schalke in part one. There is a distinct sense of optimism in the camp, which is a nice change from the past several months. Exciting young players like Leon Bailey and Lucas Alario are making immediate impact on the team and making those around them that much better. In part two, Eric is joined by Tomas Incze, a Bayer Leverkusen and River Plate fan, who is well-placed to talk more about the transfer of Lucas Alario and the impact he can make on the team. 1 goal and 1 assist in his first match is certainly a good start! Enjoy the pod!
Hooooooly shit, it’s been a long time since we rapped at you, but we hope this makes up for lost time. Super Bayer fan Edgar Avalos joins Frieda, Tom, and Eric for a rollicking good time to discuss Bayer’s off-season and the DFB Pokal match. Lord knows where our boys will land this season, but who cares? Our fans are the best in the world! And that’s what it’s all about.
Feel like reliving a roller-coaster of a week at Bayer 04 Leverkusen? Are you a glutton for punishment? Of course you are…you’re a Bayer fan! Tom and Eric get together to relive the downs that were the matches against WOB and RBL, but we welcomed a delightful guest, Daniel, from the Hoch und Weit podcast for the second half of the pod. The one bright spot in Leverkusen’s week was made brighter by Daniel’s appearance and we thank him for coming on and sharing his passion for SV98. Grab a beer and let us tickle your ear holes.
There have been some changes at Bayer Leverkusen and there have been some changes in the Neverkusen Crew. Desperate times call for desperate measures, as the gang examine Roger Schmidt’s dismissal and the new era of Tayfun Korkut. Long story short, it hasn’t started well. No matter, Frieda (yes, she lives!), Tom and Eric plow through the SVW match and consider some of the imminent summer departures. It must be said, it was fun recording this pod, but the days ahead don’t look very bright for Bayer Leverkusen fans.
We’ve been as inconsistent in our podcasts as Bayer Leverkusen has been in their matches, but on the heels of a two-match winning streak the Neverkusen Crew is back with a brand-new episode of the pod just in time for the Champions League match against Atletico Madrid. Patrick, Tom, and Eric welcome back special guest Andreas (@andreasodendahl) to discuss the current situation and mood at Bayer, which we will describe as cautiously optimistic. We talk Havertz, Chicha, Bender, and others as we try to psych ourselves up for what is going to be a daunting task in the CL. Open a beer, sit back, and enjoy our noise!
It’s been a long time since we rapped at ya, Bayer fans. You can’t blame us, though…the past month has been an absolute shit-show without any victories since the beginning of November. Getting rid of Roger Rabbit isn’t the answer, but the Neverkusen Crew doesn’t have a clue when it comes to improving the team. Nevertheless, we call it as we see it, get into the details, and admire 17-year old boys. Join us!
What a matchday! After the disappointing mid-week result against Monaco in the Champions League, Bayer Leverkusen have announced their domestic intentions (by way of 21 fouls) with a convincing 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund. Good friend Stefan Buczko joins Patrick and Eric after losing a bet involving, of all things(!), FC Scheiss…err, Schalke. It’s always a pleasure having him on, especially on days when Stefan can’t gloat :-). We go into detail about Saturday’s match, and basically ignore what happened against Monaco on Tuesday – the less said the better. Drink this one in, it’s a lot of fun!
